We are out of milk so went to Thrifty’s Foods this morning to buy some. While I was away Katie texted me that she wanted potato chips and popcorn, and my wife texted that she wanted a block of cheese as well. An interesting fact about milk here in Courtenay. It seems that the largest percentage of fat that you can get is 3% (see photo to the left). Regular homogenized milk in the United States was 4%. I’m not sure why this is…
I’m trying to have my US Social Security Pension sent to Canada, but I can’t even log into my RBC bank account! When I try to change the password they tell me that they will text me a link, but I never get it… And this is Canada’s Largest Bank! Go figure…
My wife took the kids to viola/violin class this afternoon. They also picked up lights/fans for their rooms at Canadian Tire (see photo to the right). Hopefully Anthony will have time to install them when he gets a break from doing work on the garage. That should save us a few $$$…
Katie mentioned to me this evening that she would like to have a “floating shelf” for her bedroom. This would be a fun and easy project to do in our new garage workshop, once it gets up and running…
Anthony from Orca Electric & Drywall emailed me this evening and told me that he heard back from the inspectors regarding the garage wiring. They said “Technical Safety BC accepts your declaration of compliance and confirms an inspection is not required at this time“.
