Today is a big day…my wife will hopefully have her Green Card by the end of the day.
All three of us met at the INS Office in Durham to go through the Green Card process for my wife. Katie was a bit fussy as they would not let us take any baby food inside the building…just a sippy cup. We pushed her around in the stroller to take her mind off of food. I showed her where we were on the big map that they had on the wall, and she took great delight in showing the people in the room her “velcro” shoes.
Next stop…the second floor where we waited for the immigration officer. I grabbed Katie’s hands and walked her around the room. She enjoyed looking out one of the windows as it was at eye level for her.
When the immigration officer came to get us the first thing he said was “She looks like you”. I proceeded to tell him about the 8mm movie tapes I have at home when I was growing up…I was pretty much a male version of Katie.
I asked my wife about what photo she wanted to upload today and she mentioned that she would like to see some photos of the nice clothes we got for Katie at the consignment sale. See photo to the right.
I was able to get some organic goat cheese at WholeFoods tonight. I also picked up a hot buffet take out for my wife and I. Katie will have her baby slop…
Katie is becoming obsessed with stacking things. I put five blocks on top of each other this evening and she tried to put one of the “little people” on top of it. Not too successful…but she did try…
