Day #5349 – (Wed., Aug. 28, 2024) – Katie Takes Law!
There is one week left of summer for the kids! Yes boys & girls, school starts next Wednesday! Monday will be labor day. Tuesday will be a teacher work day, so they do have these up in Canada as well, and school will start for the kids on Wednesday.
Katie is taking “Law” this year at school. I told her that if my schedule in high school wasn’t full of college prep classes, and my “MUST TAKE” industrial arts class, I would have taken law. Many times in my life I have thought how much easier my life would have been if I had taken this class.
Finley, the “Red Haired” girl at orchestra camp texted Katie today asking about school. She will be going to Vanier as well. Katie thought she didn’t like her, but the predominant thought is that she is just very shy.
I was out and about running errands this afternoon. The main task was to return the two hoses we bought at Canadian Tire, and get some “old school” hoses without fancy technology that will work! The two hoses shown in the photo to the right should do the trick.
I then stopped off at “Gone Fishin'”, where I bought my fishing rod, to get a few questions answered on the various levers and buttons on the rod, and some tips on casting as well. I should be good to go when I get out to Maple Lake again…
NVDA reported after the bell today. The earning and outlook were extremely good, but with such high expectations for a stock like this, the price dropped after hours. Still a great stock to own though!
The wall painting extension pole that I ordered from Amazon came today. I need to go to Home Depot for painting supplies, and Sherwin Williams for paint, next.
