Today is a teacher work day and as far as the kids are concerned, the last day of summer vacation! They are actually in some ways very eager for school to start so they can start making new friends.
Doesn’t Batman looked stressed now that school is starting up (see photo to the right).
I spent most of the day caulking the trim in the garage. I actually had to go to Home Depot to get a second tube. Tomorrow is sanding day…
Bobby has been making great progress on the “Lego Like” plane he got at the museum a week or so. It even has a trap door where the little figures can make parachute jumps.
I talked to Dr. Rachapalli on the phone today. He accepted me as a patient and is working on getting all the forms for medication to head my way.
Katie finally got a chance to meet the Scottish girls down the road. My wife and their mother, Jen, took them on a walk. One of the girls, Maddie, is 15, a year older than Katie and the other girl, Abi, is 12. They also have another sister Rosie at 11 years old. I guess they still have their Scottish accent, which is understandable since they only came last year. Their mom is a lawyer from Courtenay who has to take some courses to be able to practice law again as they have spent so much time in Scotland. Their father is originally from Scotland.
I saw Mr. Rat again in the chicken coop entrance area. Mr. Rat, meet Mr. Trap… Let’s see what happens later tonight! I told my wife to not let the kids go up to get eggs tomorrow morning in case Mr. Rat goes “Bye Bye”…
