Both kids are home today. They don’t seem to be getting better, so my wife called up the new Urgent Care office in Courtenay at 1 pm to get an appointment. It just opened up last month, so we are lucky to have it. She was waiting a long time before someone picked up. Once she did get someone on the line, the next appointment was close to 8 pm tonight. You have to call at 1 pm as soon as the office opens as there are no appointments.
I drove the paint that I purchased at Sherwin Williams back to the store today so that they could “shake it up” again. The guy at the counter said you could sit it for about two weeks before it needs to be shaken again, so we have time. The garage ceiling and walls are looking good, and we are still fixing holes and doing some priming. My wife sanded the ceiling this evening.
My wife cannot drive at night so I drove the family out to Urgent Care this evening (see photo to the left). Unfortunately the doctor adopted a “wait and see” approach, so no prescriptions tonight…
An interesting point of note. While there I asked to use the bathroom and they had to unlock it for me. Once I was inside, they have a monitor to see that there is someone moving. If you don’t move, someone comes to knock on the door to check on you. I think they are worried that people will use the bathroom and “shoot up” and “stop moving” because they are on a high…
