Day #5370 – (Wed., Sept. 18, 2024) – Bobby Has COVID!

My wife called up Courtenay Pharmacy this morning and they said that one of the few pharmacies that have Paxlovid is the Comox Valley Pharmacy near the Tim Horton’s on Guthrie Road. It’s apparently such an expensive drug that few pharmacies carry it. The good news is that the Canadian Government paid 100% of the cost…we got it for free!

Katie wasn’t feeling too well this morning, but went to school anyway. Bobby stayed at home and tested positive for COVID!

My wife went to Vanier High School (see photo to the right) this evening for a parent evening. They were giving a talk on how to navigate high school. Administrators and counsellors, not teachers, addressed the crowd of parents.

Although reluctant to go to school this morning Katie was glad that she did. A girl in her math class, Roxie, had lunch with her and even did her hair during math break. Apparently she is really good in math and offered to help Katie if she was having difficulties.

My wife took Katie to the violin group class in the Church in Courtenay we scoped out while waiting for our prescription at London Drugs the other day.

We have started to notice some strange behavior in our rooster. He used to sleep at night on the roost with the other two chickens. As of late he has been roosting where the hens lay their eggs. What’s up with that? Winter is coming so we may have to start closing the door to the roosting area and even turning on a little heater to keep them warm.
