Day #5372 – (Fri., Sept. 20, 2024) – Trying On Shoes
I’m really enjoying the fresh tomatoes that we get from our garden. In fact, the whole family does. I started to investigate DIY solar powered LED lighting systems on Amazon as a proof of concept. Maybe I will get a cheap one and hook it up in the garage so that we can have tomatoes all year round?
My wife and I are also talking about getting a greenhouse as it’s already getting too cold here in Courtenay to grow things outdoors. My wife is going to talk to her father about it as he uses them all the time in Lithuania.
Katie went to school today but Bobby is home… Since he has COVID he won’t be going to school till Monday. Today he tried on a bunch of shoes as the kids need to have changes of shoes when they go from indoors to outdoors at Huband (see photo to the right).
Katie is fitting into school quite well and liking it more each passing day. She met a boy named Gavyn who just broke up with his girlfriend and is interested in her. Apparently he wears a baseball cap. I don’t know much else about him at that stage… My wife and I don’t want to pry too much…
We got a note from Katie’s French teacher, Anna McCarthy today. She said “Just to let you know Katie is doing really well in French. She has settled in quickly and it’s already clear she will thrive in this course.”.
