Day #5377 – (Wed., Sept. 25, 2024) – Flex Day!

Maureen mentioned that hens will slow down their egg production as the days get shorter. The fact that our hens are 3-4 years old means that she wouldn’t be surprised if they stop egg production till the spring. A bit of a “Chicken Vacation” so to speak…

Today is a “Flex Day” for Katie, so she had the option of either going to school or pursuing some other “learning activity”. She opted to stay home and do art. Elementary kids like Bobby don’t have the option unfortunately.

There will be no middle school for Bobby here in Courtenay. He will finish up 7th grade at Huband and then go to Vanier High School. He will basically be going to Vanier the same year that Katie is off to college.

There was a group viola/violin class this evening, and a fiddle class afterward (see photo to the right). It was two hours long, so quite long for Bobby. I might need to pick him up half way through it when we get another car, or let him go off and on…

I sold some NVDA stocks and sent $3100 US to my wife to cover the mortgage this afternoon.

I borrowed a set of PC headphones from Bobby for the PC in the “Barn Suite”. I’m using them to coordinate my mixings of “I Saw Her Standing There”, an old Beatles song, with my voice and guitar playing…
