Day #5378 – (Thu., Sept. 26, 2024) – Early Voting!
Katie is home sick today, but Bobby went to school.
Both my wife and I received electronic ballots of the US Election via email, and we voted today! Certainly easier than in the past when you had to print out, sign, and then mail in the ballot.
We received a check from the IRS, but didn’t cash it as we knew it was a mistake at the time. Well, we got a note from them that they want this money back, even though we didn’t cash the check. We’re going to get our accountant to “hopefully” sort this all out. If not, I’m sure our “US Representative” will be more than happy to help out now that the election is almost here…
Bobby had his violin class after school today. His teacher had a mandolin and since the strings and notes are the same Bobby took to playing it (see photo to the left).
My wife went to a meeting at Huband Elementary School this evening. It was about what support is available for kids. especially those with ADHD, autistic, or learning disabilities. All parents of the children were invited, but only FIVE came! I guess that the counselor looked like he was from a heavy rock band or a Sturgis biker! Apparently if a kid doesn’t want to go to school, it calls for a staff meeting!!!! Apparently it’s a rarity!
Hurricane Helene made landfall in the Tallahassee, Florida area as a Category #4 this evening!
