Day #5387 – (Sat., Oct. 5, 2024) – First 7-Eleven

I took our two paint sprayers to the barn this afternoon to clean them. It started to rain so I will have to clean them tomorrow.

This afternoon I took Bobby out for a Daddy/Son Day. We drove around for a bit, and when we passed by a 7-Eleven he mentioned that he had never been to one, so we stopped in. He was especially interested in getting a “Slurpie” and was ecstatic when he saw that they had Klondike bars as well. You can see the haul of “stuff” that we got in the photo to the left.

Bobby then wanted to go home and work on another Roblox clay character so we did that next. You can see the guy we developed in the photo to the right. I did the head and cap and Bobby did the body.

Katie was feeling a bit discouraged and missing her friends in Chapel Hill, so I took her out for a drive this evening. We drove around and I gave her a bit of a “pep talk” on how to not be so hard on herself and give it a bit of time to meet people here. She already has more friends here than she had in years at Chapel Hill middle school. She just needs time for her friend group to broaden and deepen. On the way home we stopped off at McDonalds where she picked up some chicken nuggets and fries.
