Day #5392 – (Thu., Oct. 10, 2024) – Homegrown Apples!

I went to BC Services in Courtenay to see how long the lines were and if it was possible for them to verify the app on my phone. The good news is that they verified it at the counter, so no need to go and set up an appointment and wait…

I picked up Bobby at Huband Elementary this afternoon (see photo to the right), and then Katie at Vanier. On the way home Katie and I were drawing up the plot of a story where a neighborhood has people full of quirks, like a lady who thinks she is skiing and goes for a walk every morning without skiis, and a former military guy who thinks he used to be a General. A normal guy moves into the neighborhood and the residents make fun of him because he is so weird…

There are some delicious apples on the tree in our yard now (see photo to the left)! It’s wonderful to have such a variety of fruits and vegetables and berries on our new property!

It looks like our 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid will be available at 4 pm tomorrow. We’re hoping that it can be sooner so that my wife can drop me off to pick it up. Otherwise, a neighbor has offered to drop me off. At least I don’t need to drive all the way to Nanaimo!

Katie told me that Annika is into Timothée Chalamet as well! Another friend of Katie’s, Shanti, invited her to hang out with some of her family and friends for Halloween this year!

I put the new Ryobi Leaf Blower that I picked up at Home Depot on Monday through the paces this evening. It’s quite powerful! I’ll take it out and blow leaves off our driveway tomorrow.

Bobby plans to ride his bike to school and back tomorrow!
