Day #5398 – (Wed., Oct. 16, 2024) – Casting Bobby!

Bobby rode his bike to and from school today, but Katie is home sick.

I set up an appointment for “BC Services” for tomorrow. My wife and I need to go and get an affidavit for our US tax returns so that the BC Health Services can determine the level of our deduction for prescription drugs.

I called up BCAA, which is the Canadian equivalent of AAA. Apparently they do cover AAA here in BC, but the coverages differ. The lady suggested I cancel AAA once the overage is done in March and enroll in BCAA at that time. We still have to talk about whether the coverage that Waypoint offers is necessary after we get BCAA…

After violin class this evening I showed Bobby the fishing pole that I bought! I told him that we needed to practice casting, and once we were good enough we could go out to Maple Lake and try out luck! Well, he did much better than I anticipated. Look how far he casted this afternoon (see photo to the right). It looks like we will be off to Maple Lake this weekend! I told him that we could still practice our casting up until then.

Katie is very hopeful of getting into Emily Carr University and moving to Vancouver to live. She loves the big city life.
