Day #5454 – (Wed., Dec. 11, 2024) – Geothermal

2024-12-11 - Sunset

Both kids went to school today. Thanks for small miracles… 🙂

Purolator tried to deliver my new PC at 9 am this morning, but since nobody was there to sign for it, they left. I need to pick it up at their designated location, which is Best Buy, after 1 pm tomorrow.

The sun goes down early here in Courtenay these days (see photo to the right). 4:19 pm to be exact. It never went down this early in Nova Scotia, but given the fact that we are further north, that’s understandable. I’m looking forward to December 22nd, when the days start to get longer.

On the Advent Calendar front today, Katie received some hand moisturizer cream and Bobby got a “fake” Lego set. Actually, these little “fake” Lego sets will build a solar system…stay tuned for more…

Bobby studied the different types of energy in school today. Wind, nuclear and the like. He also studied “Geothermal”, so we pieced it together. “Geo” meaning “Earth”, and “Thermal” meaning “Heat”. So, heat from the earth.

My wife took the kids to viola/violin practice this evening.
