Katie has been playing chess in her “Board Game” class at school. I want to encourage her in this endeavor, so I’m going to take her out this weekend to pick out a chess set, whichever one she wants. There is a board game store next to Thrifty Foods so we might start there.
The Huband Christmas Concert was at noon today. My wife drove and dropped me off at the entrance and then went to park the van. You can see Bobby singing the song “Bicker Bicker” with the rest of his Ms. Nelson’s Grade #4 class. If you click here you can see the whole performance of this song.
An interesting thing happened at the concert. I went to the bathroom and when I got back my seat in the back of the auditorium was taken. There was an empty seat a few rows up from where I sat and the lady said I could sit there. I had just put my knee into place over the chair to sit down when the little girl (who was about three years old) who was dancing on her chair fell backwards. My knee stopped her chair from falling back and hitting her head on the cold hard floor. Coincidence? Hmmm…
When the concert was over we waited for Bobby in the van and then drove him home. I then went to get Katie and with both kids home we opened up today’s slot in the Advent Calendar. More chocolate, a Lego set for Bobby’s planet, and some perfume for Katie.
Daisy cancelled the viola/violin class tonight so both kids were “Over The Moon” with excitement! She said something about an injury…hope she’s okay!
