Day #5473 – (Mon., Dec. 30, 2024) – Pool Table Arrives!
Bobby went to the dentist this morning. They have a little “Pac Man Machine” in their waiting room (see photo to the left).
Our pool table arrived today, finally… It was a bit banged up a bit… In particular: One of the pool cues was damaged and one of the pockets needs to be nailed back in place. Other than that, it seems to work okay. We still need to level it out. It seems that the middle side pockets might be sagging, so I could always go to Home Depot and get a few jacks to hold it up a bit more. We thought about sending it back and getting a new one, but can you imagine the hassle of repackaging a thing this big?
This evening Katie, my wife, and I, had a bit of a billiard tournament. Nothing too fancy. They are both still learning the game.
Katie and I went for a drive this evening. I got her an ice cream cone at McDonalds via coupon. Those McDonald’s coupon books are great! For $5 you get $20 worth of food. Great for times you want a simple snack rather than a full-blown meal.
Katie and I drove around for a bit and then home. She says she is having trouble sleeping and wanted to get to bed early. I told her my technique of breathing deeply and focusing my attention on the air in my chest and stomach going in and out. Let’s se if she tries it…
