Day #5477 – (Fri., Jan. 3, 2025) – “Regular” Family Bowling!
The whole family went bowling this afternoon (see photo to the left). I made reservations for 1 pm. Apparently you could choose between “regular” bowling or “cosmic” bowling. “Cosmic” bowling includes lights and sounds?, so I opted for regular bowling…
I won the first game and Katie won the second game. All of us had our moments of glory, and those of despair… 🙂 It was a lot busier today than it was when I came with Bobby on Christmas Eve. The lady at the counter who gave us our shoes was from Digby, NS.
We stopped off at McDonalds on the way home. We were out of milk so we went to Thrifty Foods as well. We were thinking of picking up an ice cream cake for Katie’s birthday tomorrow, but they don’t sell them.
This evening I went shopping for an ice cream cake. They don’t seem to sell them at Walmart, or in fact all the grocery stores like they do in the US. I ended up at Dairy Queen and they had them under lock & key to keep the “druggies” from stealing them. It got them to put “Happy Birthday Katie” on it (see photo to the right).
This evening I set up Katie’s guitar so that we will be able to give it to her tomorrow morning. My wife also bought a book, “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, which I put in the case along with the capo and picks.
