Day #5479 – (Sun., Jan. 5, 2025) – Poke Page
After our four hour long drive last night for Katie’s birthday, I thought I would spend some time with the boy today! So, I took Bobby out for Daddy/Son Chat Day #17! We ended up at Poke Page (see photo to the right).
We left Katie at home as she was doing her face (see photo to the left). She placed her order for a taro milk boba.
On the drive to Poke Page Bobby told me that he is not looking forward to school. He had too much fun playing on his two weeks of Christmas vacation. I told him that I used to feel this way as a kid as well.
We got talking about all the pennies he has collected. I told him in the “olden” days pennies were made out of real copper, and are in fact a collector’s item these days. In fact our neighbor up the road had a big jar of her “Coppers” as you call them.
Bobby told me how he has been playing Gorilla Tag and another game “Scary Baboon” with Ethan on his VR Headset. Apparently Ethan has only one VR Headset, and his father likes to play online with others when he is not using it.
Bobby wanted a watermelon boba this time. I picked up a tara milk boba for Katie. Bobby wanted to go home soon after picking them up as he was creating a video for his new “gaming” YouTube channel. He told me that he already has 4 subscribers and is going to talk to Katie about how to get more. I suggested that there are probably a ton of channels like his out there and he had to come up with a way to make his “unique”.
We’re thinking of getting a hard shell case for Katie, but I’m concerned that it might be too heavy for her to carry around at school all day. So, I ordered a “padded” soft shell case on Amazon for her. I think she will like that much better.
