Day #414 (Mon., Feb. 21, 2011) – Baby In A Box
Sweet potatoes, sweet peas, and egg yolk. This was Katie’s lunch, and she fed herself.
I put Katie in an empty Target Diaper Box this evening while we watched Lawrence Welk on television. It seems to “corral” her and keep her in one place for a while…which is good.
The photo to the left shows one of the recent toys that my wife purchased at a consignment sale. It is basically a box of plastic blocks, but inside each block is another little plastic piece in different shapes. Not only can Katie learn to stack blocks and put them into the big blue box, but she can learn about shapes by putting stars, triangles, circles and “whatever” into the various blocks as well.
9:50pm and Katie is “playing” the playyard next to me. She is throwing her blue sleeping bag around and growling like a lion. I think she is trying to show us that she is not sleepy…but we know better. Every so often her head will hit the floor and it will take a while for her to pick it up again. Bedtime for chipmunk coming up soon…
