Day #5502 – (Tue., Jan. 28, 2025) – “Mountain Blast”

Bobby is home sick today and Katie went to school, the first day of the new semester!

We found my expired Australian passport in the armoire! We’re in the process of getting Australian passports for the kids. We need to get someone who has known us for a year to guarantee the application, so I plan to call up the Australian Embassy to clarify.

I picked up another “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” book (see photo to the right) for Bobby at the Courtenay library when I was out and about this afternoon. I then picked up Katie at school and we went for another drive. She was a bit late because she had to go pick up her guitar before coming to the car. Apparently there are a lot of guitars in class, so she will not need to take hers to school with her from now on. It’s great that she has her own guitar though as she will be able to practice on it when she is home.

Bobby’s COVID test turned positive. Very faint mind you (see photo to the right), but faint nonetheless. Is this the reason he has been sick so much?

There was a loud “Mountain Blast” around 2:44 pm this afternoon! It was heard all the way from Campbell River to Royston and 10 times louder than normal mountain blasts. Nobody knows what it was just yet…

Bobby was outside and took the tarp off the sandbox for the sand to dry out. I reminded him to be sure to position it back over when the day is done so that potential rain will not make the sand wet again.
