Day #5504 – (Thu., Jan. 30, 2025) – Mortimer Snerd!
I increased the temperature on the chicken coop heater from #1 to #2 last night (see photo to the right) as we have been having some cold nights as of late. The chickens look so much happier this morning… 🙂
Both kids went to school today! Praise for small miracles!
Bobby told me that he mentioned he got a new laser tag set to our neighbors Dominik and Connor. Connor was very excited about coming over and testing them out, but since his accident, Dominik has been more of a “home body” as of late. I told Bobby that it sometimes takes a while for the effects of events like this to wear off…
Katie had another guitar class today. Fortunately, since they have a lot of guitars in class, she doesn’t need to bring hers to school every day!
I stopped off at the “Island Tides Veterinary Hospital” in Courtenay after picking the kids up. Batman’s food is ready! I was also slated to pick up some pet food for our neighbor Kathy’s cat, but it was not ready. Apparently she had popped in earlier in the day and they informed her of this.
Katie gave Maple a nice pat & scratch this evening. Dog Heaven! (see photo to the left)!
Both of the chickens will let me pat them now! The rooster is still wary of me!
The kids had their viola/violin practice this evening! They are both getting so good at playing. They might really enjoy trying out the “Music Studio” I’m in the process of building in the “Barn Suite” once I get it set up!
