Both kids went to school today despite the fact that there is plenty of snow on the ground.
The chickens water has been frozen the last few days so I bring hot water from the barn to melt the layer on their water feeder (see photo to the left).
Amanda sent us a contact for someone who could install our automatic gate for us. I still plan to put a couple of notes on the people in our neighborhood who have automatic gates, asking them how they liked the service of their contractor. It’s good to not have all your eggs in one basket.

My wife parked the van on the road so that we will be able to get in and out to pick up the kids. My car wouldn’t go up the driveway to the “Barn Suite” the other day due to the ice…
The photo to the right shows Katie’s outfit for going out to the swing with all the snow we have been having!
I see that the “Dog Man” movie is out in our Courtenay Landmark Theater. I thought Bobby would want to go see it, but he wants to go see “Mustafa” instead. We will probably go this weekend.
Katie was planning on getting together with Annika and Madeline to go for a Boba, then Thrifting, after school today. Due to the snow they have postponed it till next Wednesday. I sure wish I had enough money to create a Panera Bread here in Courtenay for the Vanier kids to hang out in!
Since I’m pretty well “Snowed In” in the “Barn Suite” I called Katie up on the phone this evening and we talked about her day.
