Day #5514 – (Sun., Feb. 9, 2025) – “Mufasa”
I took Bobby to see the 12:15 pm showing of “Mufasa” at the Landmark Cinema in Courtenay today (see photo to the left). This turned out to be Daddy/Son Day #91! He was not feeling 100%, but we decided that we had better go see it as it won’t be here next weekend. When I purchased the tickets online there were only two other seats taken, but when we got there the place was packed!
Bobby asked me about the time 1/2 way through the show, but didn’t want to go home. He looked pretty tired during the second half, and we went right home afterward. He did get a chance to enjoy a “medium” meal, which included medium popcorn, sour candy, and a medium Fruitopia. He didn’t eat much of his popcorn though and I pretty well finished the bag off for him.
The Super Bowl was on television this afternoon but I feel like I’m getting what Bobby is getting so I went for a nap before watching the second half with Katie and Bobby in the main house. Bobby told me that he was interested in learning how the various plays work, but he soon lost interest and went back to his room to play on his iPad. He’s still not 100% and that probably played into his lack of interest, although Katie only showed some interest in the game a couple of years ago.
The game was quite a surprise actually! People were thinking that the Kansas City Chiefs would win again to be the first team to ever win three in a row, but in actuality they we beaten quite handily by the Philadelphia Eagles!
After the game my wife and I watched our very first Mr. Beast video! This was the one where he purchased a grocery store and gave a guy $100,000 for every day he stayed in it… Quite interesting…
