Both kids are back to school today.
The photo to the right shows the framed puzzles that my wife and kids have been working on.
Dominik & Connor, the two neighbor boys, came over this afternoon to watch the “Oddball” movie on the projector in garage. I guess they really liked having a projector like this… Kinda like having your own “Movie Theater! Just so you know, the Oddball story plot follows an eccentric chicken farmer named Swampy Marsh who, with the help of his granddaughter Olivia , trains his mischievous dog, Oddball, to protect a colony of little penguins on Middle Island from fox attacks. The penguin population had been dwindling due to foxes swimming to the island and preying on them. Swampy and Olivia’s efforts to save the penguins also serve as a way to reunite Swampy’s family and save their seaside town.
Bobby went to the chess club at recess today and really liked it. My wife is having no luck in getting him to have interest in the math club!
Katie has learned that Gavin has a crush on her, something that she suspected!
We’re thinking of paying off our mortgage, and here’s what RBC says: Without penalties you can pay off 10% each year of the original mortgage amount. You can also double up each of your mortgage payments and the double up payment goes to principle. You are able to do both. Before then, any extra (outside of 10% prepayment or double up) would cause a penalty charge. Your mortgage would become ‘open’ at renewal: Jun 3, 2027 and you can pay off the balance or make any payment at that point/date.
