Day #442 (Mon., Mar. 21, 2011) – Green Turtle Sandbox
I received some drawings from the contractor who wants to build our screened in porch. We will have to submit them to the HOA for approval before work can actually begin.
My wife sent me an email while I was at work. She located a woman in Apex who has the green turtle sandbox (see photo to the right) we have been wanting for quite a while. I stopped by after work and picked it up. It was only $15. At first I didn’t think that it would fit in the Camry’s trunk, but once again this little car has amazed me with its capacity.
This evening Katie and I “walked the stairs” (as is our almost nightly ritual). When we went into the downstairs bedroom she got to see the green turtle sandbox. She was fascinated with it. She banged on it and pointed out the eyes, and even started to push it around a bit. Once it has sand in it she will absolutely love it. It can also double as a pool if we so choose.
