We had a Skype with my mother this afternoon. Katie showed her how she can walk up and down the hallway. She hasn’t really crawled much since Friday, so I think crawling is a thing of the past now.
When Katie went for her nap at 4pm we all just crashed. Nap time for our entire household…
The photo to the right shows a “Gyro Bowl” that we bought for Katie. It is marketed as a bowl that will not spill no matter what direction you put it in (due to the “gyros”). That is true for the most part…but Katie likes to throw the bowl when it is loaded with cheerios so she can pick them up and eat them later. There is no guarantee against something like that…
We made some buckwheat pasta this evening and Katie had some as well. She seemed to really like it…except for the fact that she threw some of it on the ground and walked on it a bit. This really became evident when we “walked stairs” later in the evening. She had buckwheat residue on her socks…so much in fact that I had to take her socks off.
Katie is moving so quickly now and is so curious we are really going to have to keep an eye on her. When it comes to Katie you have to put prevention into action.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
