Day #498 (Mon., May 16, 2011) – Out Without Katie
We got an email from the contractor stating that we will need to have a light on the patio if we screen in the porch. Of course this will add some $ to the final price. This whole “screened in porch” thing is getting more and more expensive…
My wife and I left Katie with the babysitter and went to Sam’s Club to see a Swiss Gear patio canopy that might work nicely as a temporary measure to screen in our patio area. In the end they didn’t have it in stock, but we picked up some interlocking mats for the patio. We’ll order the patio screening online.
This was the first time my wife and I had been anywhere without Katie since her birth. Since our anniversary is tomorrow this was our anniversary gift to each other. We ate at Red Lobster and had a great time… We picked Katie up a “Red Lobster Coloring Book” (shown in the photo to the left).
Katie was very fussy this evening. We took her for a drive but she didn’t nap and it didn’t seem to calm her down. When we brought her home she was a lot more calm though…
8:05pm – Katie is eating a show and dancing to “A Tisket A Tasket” via Joanne Castle of Lawrence Welk fame.
My wife ordered the folding screen porch system from Amazon this evening. It will be here on Wednesday.
