Day #526 (Mon., June 13, 2011) – Katie In The Hamper
Katie starting playing her music at 3am. At 4am she was totally up. Mutliple attempts to put her to bed failed. She went to bed at 7am. We are wiped out this morning…
This morning was a morning of a number of firsts…
1) I’ve been trying to play “Paddy cake” with Katie for quite a while now and this morning it seems she got it. When I would hold out the palms of my hands she would slap them with her hands. It’s amazing how they gradually pick things up…
2) I also played “This little piggie” with Katie. When I would grab her little toe and go “wee wee wee all the way home” she would laugh and laugh…
3) Also this morning I would say “cha cha cha” and Katie would dance around and say it back to me. Quite the eventful morning don’t you think?
Katie managed to get herself into the hamper this morning and run around with it on her head (see photo to the right).
Our nanny Christina gave us her two week notice today.
We went to Moe’s for their Joey Burrito Special (Monday Nights). Katie loves to go to the counter with Katie to see “what’s up” these days. Afterwords we went to the Dragon Park in Cary. Katie loves it there…and we do as well. It’s fenced in so there is less danger of her running out in front of a car…this is probably what I like the most. Katie likes to roam around and explore almost every area of the park. She found a puddle of water and really enjoyed splashing around in that. She is still in collecting mode…rocks, acorns, sticks. etc…
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
