Day #551 (Fri., July 8, 2011) – Fire Chief Hat
I went to the Dollar Store and got a lot of things for Katie. For example, the “squirter” water gun that Katie seems to like so much (it broke recently as it was under my chair and got crunched)…well, I got three. One for my wife and I and a “mini” one for Katie. I also got Katie a fire chief hat. I modeled it for her and she really took to it. She enjoys putting it on and showing it to daddy.
Moe’s for a Joey Jr. Burrito this evening. Afterwards we went to another new park that we found off of Walnut Street in Cary. It is relatively new…and some of the equipment was quite state-of-the-art. The benches were very nice…this would be a nice place for a picnic sometime. As usual Katie got her bucket and shovel and headed towards the sandbox (see photo to the right).
This evening was the first time that Katie asked to be put into the swing. In actuality she screamed when we tried to take her out of it. I guess “swings” are starting to grow on her.
