Day #554 (Mon., July 11, 2011) – The Wooden Ship
I gave Katie the sunglasses that I got for her at the Dollar Store last week. Daddy modeled them so she would not be scared of them, but soon got the hang of it. She would take them off my face and put them on her own and go show mommy in the kitchen.
I went to Trader Joe’s today to get supplies as we are out of almost everything. Goat’s milk, yogurt, berries…you name it…we were out of it. Cost me $150 but this will keep us going for a while.
This evening we went to Moe’s but Katie was rather fussy. We decided to not venture too far from home so we went to a Church that the corner of Chatham & Cary Parkway as they have a wooden ship in the yard (see photo to the left). An office worker we met there said that it was fine for Katie to play on it. She loved venturing around but kept looking at this yellow duck ride on toy in the playground.
