Day #585 (Thu., Aug 11, 2011) – Our Fearless Child

My mother-in-law and I took Katie to the park near Lochmere this evening. Katie grabbed a couple of acorns, looked at all the kids, and worked her way onto the playground.

First up was the sandbox. There were plenty of sand toys to play with (see photo to the left) and kids to play with. She stared a lot at the kids and put some sand into a bucket and was off to the swings.

Katie seemed to really like the swings this evening. Perhaps she is tired today…she just wanted to keep swinging. A plane flew overhead and she took note.

As we were leaving Katie wanted to take another turn on the slide. A two year old girl was ahead of her and Katie just kept staring at her. She ended up chickening out and Katie could not figure out why she just turned around and went back down the stairs. Katie moved up to the slide and slid down…no big deal for our fearless child.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
