Day #589 (Mon., Aug 15, 2011) – Trader Joe’s Stickers
My mother-in-law and I bundled Katie up and took her to Trader Joe’s for supplies this afternoon. She rode around in the shopping cart for the most part, but I gave her one of their “Etch-A-Sketch” devices to help entertain her. The lady at the check-out gave her some stickers…and Katie promptly took them off the backing and stuck them to the counter.
Take a look at the “evening meal” for Katie this evening (see photo to the right). She can sure be messy when she wants to.
This evening we all took Katie to the park in Apex. This is the first time my mother-in-law had been here. Katie ran right to the swings and we had a hard time getting her out. There was a nice big plastic shovel near the sandbox so that held her attention for a while as well.
There is this baby seat in our bedroom that Katie enjoys sitting in when she comes in to watch Oswald. Sometimes she gets her feet stuck inside the rungs but other than that she enjoys getting into it and kicking with her feet. Perhaps we should take it out to the living room so that she can sit in it beside daddy’s recliner.
