Day #613 (Thu., Sept 8, 2011) – The Scampering Squirrel
My mother-in-law wanted to go to the Dollar Store to pick up some souvenirs to take back to Lithuania with her. We decided to take Katie out as I will be at the HOA meeting this evening and will not be able to take her out for her normal evening “run”. I got Katie a bunch of stickers, a couple of coloring books and a bright red Elmo Helium balloon.
Katie learned a new trick today. She learned that one of the easiest ways to eat raspberries is to put your finger in them and put them in your mouth (see photo to the left). No need for a spoon or a fork or even a full hand…
We then drove over to the playground near Bond Park. Surprisingly enough Katie didn’t run to the swings first off. She enjoyed playing in the muddy water in the sandbox more. Eventually she worked her way over to the swings. There was a squirrel scampering about nearby and Katie enjoyed watching it from the safety of the swing.
