Day #619 (Wed., Sept 14, 2011) – Katie Wants “Out”
Katie started to talk this morning and woke me up. I was up working when Katie finally woke up about 30 minutes later (i.e.: 3am). I gave her some milk and cheerios and raisins on her toy plates (see photo to the left), we played a bit, then she went to bed around 5am.
I took Katie to the playground near Lochmere this evening. We haven’t been there in a while. She ran up to the swing and I put her in it…after a few minutes she said “Out” so I took her out. She then ran around the playground doing various things. First was the sandbox (nobody else was there) where she played with the various toys. She then ran over to the big kid’s slide and climbed to the top. I had to take her off as it is too dangerous for her to go down the big slide when there is only one person to watch her. She then wandered over to the ballfield, picked up a scoop of dirt, brought it back to the playground and threw it on the sidewalk. A very busy schedule for our little chipmunk this evening.
While she was playing this evening Katie asked for juice and then cheese. I gave it to her. When we got home she started to cry so my wife gave her a whole cup full of goat’s milk and she drank it all. She is very hungry and thirsty this evening.
