Day #622 (Sat., Sept 17, 2011) – Best Train Video Ever
It is rather cold and wet and rainy outside today. A bit nippy outside as well…fall is definitely here.
We had a Skype session with my mother this morning. We all marveled at how Katie is growing. The session was not too long though…Katie was fussy and had to go to bed.
When Katie went to bed around noon my wife and I went to bed for a nap as well. The whole family is tired and in need of a rest.
I took Katie out for a long outing tonight. We left just after 5pm and I thought I would stop by the Cary Train Station in hopes that we would be able to see the train. We just missed it…but Katie got to see it as it left.
The next stop was Old Navy where I let Katie run around and get some exercise. It was still wet on the ground due to all the rain…that’s why we decided to let her get her exercise indoors. She enjoyed running around and pointing out the shoes on the mannequins (see photo to the right). By the time she found the basket of balls and wanted to play with them I knew it was time to leave.
On the way home we stopped by the Cary Train Station one more time. This time we were able to see the train come and leave and I took one of the best train videos I have ever taken. Once I told Katie that the train was coming she cackled with delight. We had great fun showing her this video once we got home and she laughed and laughed at her laughing…
