Day #45 (Wed., Feb. 17, 2010) – Supporting Weight
Close to 11 lbs 15.5 oz today. Only 1/2 ounce left til she reaches 12 lbs. Our daughter is “growing like a weed”.
There is a bit of an overlap between size 1 (up to 14 lbs) and size 2 diapers (starts at 12 lbs), so we will be able to use up our size 1 diaper supply before moving on.
To the right is a photo of the overhead fan at the restaurant we ate at yesterday. Little Katie loves fans. Not sure if it is the motion or the sound.
My wife was holding little Katie on her lap this evening and picked her up vertically. She noticed that this was the first time that she was able to support herself by her own weight. Little Katie is getting stronger…
Little Katie was crying in the bouncy seat so I took her out and balanced her on my lap. I started to talk and sing to her and she stopped crying. She started to coo and communicate. This is the first time this worked. Usually once she starts crying only a feeding, a burping or a changing will do.
