Day #676 (Thu., Nov 10, 2011) – Twenty Missing Soothers?

Katie saw some birds flying on the television this morning and shouted out “flying birds”. She’s getting it.

The photo to the left shows the RC train that I mentioned a couple of days ago. It has only forward and “turn right”. If you want to “turn left” you need to go 270 degrees to the right. Go figure…

This evening we all needed a break so we packed up Katie and drove around the neighborhood looking for Christmas trees. First stop was the KMart on Kildaire Farm Road that is closing down in 3 days. They didn’t have any Christmas decorations so we drove over to Lowe’s. Katie loved seeing all the various decorations but you had to make sure you kept your eye on her as she wanted to take them off the shelves and put them on the ground. She loved being pushed around in a flatbed cart.

This evening crawled into the tub with her clothes on so she obviously wanted to take a bath. I stayed with her as she splashed about. It’s funny…all the money we have spent on various toys and the thing that she loves the most is some plastic disposable cups from the Dollar Store. She can fill one up with water and pour it into another cup. Great fun.

It seems that one of the last pastimes before Katie goes to bed is figuring out where her pacifier is. It’s funny…we must have bought about 20 of them since Katie was born and they have all gone missing except for about two…

We are thinking of getting Katie a sled. This sled from Target looks promising. Might as well get some baby wipes while we are at it.
