At 9:30am we woke Katie up, bundled her up (very cold outside this morning), and took her to her very first dance class (see photo to the right). Miss Judy met us at the door and soon the other students started to trickle in. Let the fun begin.
There were about 4 other parents and about 4 other kids in Katie’s dance class but they brought some of their other children along to “watch”. This is a parent participation class so my wife and I both participated in the class. There was only one other girl other than Katie that was in a TuTu.
Katie seemed more interested in playing with Elmo’s Playhouse but soon warmed up once the music started playing. We basically danced around in a huge circle and introduced various items like musical instruments and stuffed animals into the routine. The whole session only lasted for about 30 minutes but Katie had loads of fun.
It is so cold outside today that we decided not to take Katie out again this evening. We don’t want to risk her getting a cold or flu. It will be warming up later on in the week. Winter is here…
I tested out the “wood trim” for the baby doll crib this evening. It has a glue backing so you iron it on the wood and it sticks. Works good. I also tried out some of the rub on flower designs that I got at Michael’s a while back. With all these tests done it is now time to assemble the crib.
We had a dish of potpourri on the nightstand next to our bed and Katie discovered it… Guess how long for it to be an empty dish?
