Day #869 (Mon., May 21, 2012) – Higher!
I took my car to Ron the mechanic so I drove my wife’s car to work today. We had to take the baby seat out so that she could put it in Ramona’s car. What an ordeal this sort of thing is once you have a baby…
Katie loves the flowers that surround our house (as you can see in the photo to the left).
This evening I made tacos. Katie liked the meat, which was organic ground turkey, and very good for her.
While I was eating Katie decided that I need a swing. She gets behind my LazyBoy and will push and push while saying “Higher”. She treats it like I am in a swing. Not too bad normally, but a real challenge while you are trying to eat.
Before long Katie and I were playing cards on my bed. The cards in question have little pictures on them. When I show them to Katie she knows what they are and will shout it out…mostly. Sometimes she doesn’t know what a picture is of, but she will try anyway. For example, she saw a picture of a porcupine, thought a second, then said “squirrel”. I corrected her and explained that it had quills and she seemed to understand. Bet she will get it next time.
