For some reason I got up in the middle of the night realizing where the remote must be. I has to be associated with that black futon of ours…where I lost my keys years ago. Sure enough, after further examination, the remote was “wedged” into the frame. Because it was black like the futon and looked a lot like the lever mechanism it was virtually undetectable unless you had gone through a similar experience with your car keys. Problem solved.
It was too hot to take Katie to the playground today. We have been hitting heat records here in the Raleigh area as of late. We took Katie to the Farmer’s Market outside the mall this morning. I asked Katie if she wanted a carrot and she pointed at one of the carrots on the table and gave me a smile. I bought the whole bunch.
Inside the mall we went to a children’s consignment store called “The Red Hen”. Katie played in the play area while we took turns shopping. We bought her a Thomas The Train Floor Puzzle with big pieces.
When we were done Katie didn’t want to go back home but when we said that we would have some organic carrots and play with the Thomas The Train Floor Puzzle she calmed down.
This evening we took Katie to Yopop for some frozen yogurt and then to Chuck e Cheeses’ (see photo to the left) to look around. Katie was a bit overwhelmed by all the lights and sounds but on the drive home she kept saying that she wanted to go to Chuck E Cheeses’ so we know that she liked it.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
——————————
1) Katie couldn’t get enough of Chuck e Cheeses’ (her first time).
