While my wife took Katie to the park this morning I put up the rod that will house the hew hummingbird feeder (see photo to the right). It will attach to our patio and extend out over our backyard so that we will be able to see it from our living room.
This evening we took Katie out to Maple Dairy Farms. My wife usually gets a two scoop regular cone with a cup so that she can take the “overage” and Katie can lick and munch away on the cone. Katie wanted to see the cows afterwards so we drove by them as they grazed in the field. She always asks “What are the cows doing” to which we reply “eating”.
Katie loves her sleeping sack. My wife has a Lithuanian word for it but in my translation I call it a “Mushkoo”. Now Katie calls it a “Mushkoo” as well. I guess that this is how new words get added to a language…
Katie was asking for a net for some reason this evening. I’m not sure why but I had a net that I bought at the Dollar Store the other day…a butterfly net. Katie soon had me playing “throw the ball in the net”…a game she made up.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
