Day #1067 (Wed., Dec. 5, 2012) – Katie vs. The Furniture
Look what I have to put up with in regards to Katie and her toy animals (see photo to the left).
We’re thinking about getting some new furniture at some point. We are using an old futon that I bought about 11 years ago and the LazyBoy…well, let’s just say it is about to “give up the ghost”. To make things worse Katie loves to fight me over the LazyBoy. We really need two…one for daddy and one for Katie. I think we will eventually get leather or “fake leather”…fabric is just too difficult to keep clean with an active child like Katie around.
This evening Katie and I snuggled into the LazyBoy and watched “A Beethoven Christmas”…about the big St. Bernard dog. Katie was very interested in it at first, but as usual, once the action slowed down, she lost interest.
Katie got on her “ride on car” this evening and as I watched her sitting on her “ride on car” I’m reminded of when I was a child. We have all kinds of 8mm film of me riding on my little orange “ride on tractor”…I guess that this is Katie’s version. The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree or so they say.
