We had a Skype session with my mother this morning. Katie really didn’t want to talk to her til I told her she could ask her grandmother about Santa Claus and polar bears.
Every day seems to bring new wonders in our new house. Today a hawk was perched in one of our backyard trees (see photo to the left).
Katie learned a new trick today. For a while now she has been turning the television off via the on/off button on the side of the set. Today she realized that I just go ahead and turn it back on via the remote control. So, today she turned the set off and then took the remote away. Problem solved…at least in her eyes.
I’m still fighting off my cold so I decided I would go out on the patio and take my shirt off to drink up the “Vitamin D”. It’s shirt sleeve weather today and the birds are chirping. What a great place for Katie to grow up in.
We decided that we would have a little tea party on the patio so my wife made chili lettuce wraps and we all sat around the patio table eating them. When we were done Katie wanted me to go get some “fruits” off the bushes to feed her leopards (who live in China). After that we started to kick the ball around the driveway.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) Katie has learned to take daddy’s remote away so he can’t turn the television back on.
