Day #1187 (Thu., Apr. 4, 2013) – An Envelope of Dum Dums

I went and got a haircut at noon today. The hairdresser, who I have been going to for years, gave me an envelope of Dum Dum pops to give to Katie. One at a time of course…
When I got home from work Katie was in the LazyBoy. I had to go up to her and say “Where’s Katie”. When I got to the chair she had this sly little look on her face. She was hiding on daddy… She’s becoming more aware of how she can play little games…
Katie is full of sayings today. For example…
1) “Mommy, I am getting terrible. I need some grape juice.”
2) “George is that long boy that goes to school to pretend to be a policeman.”
3) Katie was playing with a baby doll. I asked if she would like to give her baby a milk bottle. Katie replied: “Yes, he needs some milk to make him tired.”
My wife went to bed early this evening and I took care of Katie. I tried to put her to bed but she was having nothing to do with it. I tucked her in and read her “Green Eggs And Ham” but as soon as I shut off the light she started to cry… It’s 11:43pm and she is watching Diego right now. She’s munching on a lunch I gave her so let’s hope this puts her in the mood for sleep. 12:02am…Katie is out…
