Day #1216 (Fri., May 3, 2013) – I’ll Take You To The Trash Can
Katie’s nose is running and I’m not feeling the best so I guess we won’t be going to the zoo on Saturday.
We are always looking for something new to entertain Katie. This evening my wife got an activity book out…with plenty of stickers. I was amazed at how good she was at it. There was this one particular page of the book in which you had two “almost” identical scenes (see photo to the left). The idea was to put stickers on one of the pages so that it mirrored the second page. At first I would mention to Katie, this picture doesn’t have a hat, can you find a hat sticker to put on this page. Eventually she didn’t need me to say this anymore…she just found the appropriate sticker and put it on the appropriate page.
We don’t know where Katie comes up with these wild sayings. Tonight for example she said to my wife “If you are not nice, I’ll take you to the trash can”.
While Katie was watching television I went into the bedroom and had a bit of a nap. Soon Katie was on top of me with some more stickers she found and the activity book we were playing with later. She wanted to continue on with the sticker fun.
