Day #1248 (Tue., Jun 4, 2013) – The Sticker/Activity Book
This evening I was working on my laptop in bed when Katie came into the room and crawled up next to me. She wanted to play with her sticker/activity book (see photo to the right). There are various pages in the book that test various skills. She likes to put the stickers on the pages…but this evening she took it to the next level.
One of the pages deals with spotting “funny things” on the pages…things that don’t happen normally. For example, a snowman in the middle of a soccer field, a square soccer ball, etc. Katie enjoyed pointing the various things out and then laughing about them.
Another page dealt with Q&A. One of the questions was “Where are you most likely to find a grizzly bear”? The answers were: (1) Alaska, (2) Florida, (3) Arizona. Katie responded “Alaska”. How does she know that? She is only 3!
As usual Katie doesn’t want to leave daddy alone so he can go to bed. I just mentioned to her that Alexa was planning on taking her to see a pony tomorrow. Katie took this as a hint and jumped up and said “I’ll see you when I am rested”, left the room and closed the bedroom door. I guess she wants to get rested for tomorrow…
