Day #1255 (Tue., Jun 11, 2013) – Katie The Big Sister

Gabby was the quietest of the three as both Zach and Katie were rather worked up. Eva, her mother, brought Gabby and her 3 month old over for a visit. I guess they were playing in our inflatable pool for a bit til they decided to come inside.
When it was time to leave Gabby wanted to stay and play some more so her mother left her with us. I made her and Katie some watermelon wedges and they both loved them. After that it was time for a bowl of cheerios.
After Gabby went home I took the opportunity to try to each Katie the importance of being a “big sister” to Gabby. I told her that she was one year older and that Gabby could learn a lot from her. Would you mind being her big sister and look out for her? She replied “I would like to be Gabby’s big sister”. Let’s hope that this takes and that they will become friends for years to come.
