The photo to the right shows some of the consignment tops that my wife picked up for Katie this past Saturday.
This morning both my wife and I had meetings so we left Katie in the capable hands of Anya, our babysitter.
This evening my wife was tired and wanted to sleep so I bundled up Katie and took her down to YoPop for from frozen yogurt. It is almost impossible to sleep when Katie is home and up. She will either scream in her high-pitched voice, or run up and down the hallway like a gazelle, or go into the bedroom and “check up on” my wife. It’s so much easier when she is out and about. She also likes to go “out” so she is more than willing to go along with you.
I didn’t get any frozen yogurt for myself but Katie had a heaping bowl. As she was eating a couple with a baby came and sat at the table next to us. Katie asked if she could go and say hi to the baby. I told her that she needed to wait til the parents came back and then she could ask them. If they were okay with it she could say hi to the baby. When they came back Katie did just that and they said “Sure”. Katie then went over to say “Hi” and said “He is so cute”. Both the parents got a kick out of that.
Katie was fascinated with the automatic soap dispenser in the bathroom. So much so that after she washed her hands she had to go back and do it a second time.
This evening Katie wanted a present so I gave her a set of toy necklace pieces I got from the Dollar Store. She happened to see the package of other goodies I got so she said “I don’t want this one…I want the one with the banana”. So, I switched them and gave her the “Banana Scratch-And-Sniff Bracelet Kit” instead.
