My wife was not feeling well this morning so I took Katie for a drive. She has expressed a desire for watermelon so the first stop was Harris-Teeter where I found a mini-watermelon for about $5 (see photo to the left). Mission accomplished, but I later found out that Fresh Market had regular size watermelons for $7.99. Good to know for future reference.
The plan was to take Katie to the library to read books but after stopping off at McDonald’s for a coffee Katie was upset that I didn’t take her into the Sheraton to see the rooms. After stopping by the Halloween “Spirit” store to convince Katie that it was no longer in business she had enough…she wanted to go home to tell mom something. I later found out that she wanted to tell my wife that I didn’t let her go into the Sheraton to see the rooms.
Both my wife and I are not feeling well today. The drugs that the doctor gave me yesterday should kick in soon. Katie seems to be the most energetic one…except for the kittens who really come alive in the evening.
Katie decided to paint my wife’s toes with red paint this evening.
