Last night Katie snipped off the tail of one of her goldfish with a pair of scissors. I didn’t think I would be able to fix it, but it is amazing what Loctite can do (see photo to the left).
Katie still behaves like a cat from time-to-time. It can sure get on your nerves. I guess Miss April told my wife that she does this at preschool at times as well. Miss April told her that there are times to play like this and times to be a little girl. Guess we will all have to work on this…
This evening I played Legos with Katie. I pretended that kitty got into a car and drove to the pet store to pick up some food. I could see by the big eyes and smile on Katie’s face that she really likes this sort of role playing.
This evening as Katie was watching “Power Rangers” (her new favorite show) in the bedroom she asked me to make her some pancakes. We already had dinner so I thought she was just saying things. When she asked a third time I went out to the kitchen and made her some pancakes. Ten pancakes in all…loaded with syrup. In the end she only hate about two and a half…and I got to sleep on maple syrup this evening.
Katie was rather good this evening. We played a bit and watched a bit of television and then she played by herself and dragged a piece of yarn around the house so that the kittens would chase her.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
——————–
1) Miss April talked to Katie about there being a time and a place to behave like a kitten.
