Day #1691 (Thu., Aug. 21, 2014) – Ariel For Halloween
When I got home this evening Katie was very excited to see me and came up to give me a hug. One thing led to another and she spit on me. Nikki was there at the time and said she didn’t learn this behavior from her. I’m not sure where she picks this up, perhaps cartoons, but she now knows that she is not supposed to do it. She came up to me afterwards and apologized so all is fine. She was just trying to get rid of some of her energy by wrestling and such and is sometimes unaware of the line she is crossing.
Katie made a beautiful drawing of a decorated sweater for a pony today. You can see it in the photo to the right.
My wife brought out the Ariel costume that Katie will be wearing for Halloween. It comes equipped with a glittery “fish tail” sort of look. My wife bought a red wig to go with it. When Katie wears it she looks like a totally new person. She is in heaven as she has expressed a number of times how she wanted to be Ariel for Halloween this year.
I made macaroni and cheese with corn and hamburger for dinner this evening. There is something about mac and cheese that my wife really likes. It kind of coats your stomach she said.
